Boys Read Too!
I just wanted to give everyone an update on one thing I've been working on. After a conversation with a neighbor in which she was asking me about books boys would like (she has a son who is the same age as my third), I decided to begin a new blog. The title is "Boys Read Too." These will consist of books I have read in the Juvenile and Young Adult category, many of them ones I have presented at local junior and high schools. If you have a chance, please check it out, and be sure to refer to it if you know of any boys in need of a good book.

It's so important to draw attention to reading, and attract reluctant readers to it, especially boys. In fact, I've recently completed a feature magazine article on this subject that came out in October, "Help for Struggling, Reluctant Readers."
I grew up as a reluctant reader, in spite of the fact that my father published over 70 books. Now I write action-adventures & mysteries, especially for tween boys, that avid boy readers and girls enjoy just as much.
My blog, Books for Boys http://booksandboys.blogspot.com is dedicated to drawing attention to the importance of reading. And my new book, Lost Island Smugglers - first in the Sam Cooper Adventure Series - is coming out in July-August. Contracts are also signed for Captain Jack's Treasure and River Rampage.

Sounds like a great idea and I am looking forward to it as my wife mentioned there is just not much for boys to read today.
